A ‘Gold’ review for Chris Cleave’s latest Olympic novel

Issue 13 of Guru Magazine is out today, and in it you’ll find my latest book review – and a very timely one, at that.

As the nation remembers the Olympic Games one year on, I review British author Chris Cleave’s third novel, GOLD - the fictional tale of two Olympic cyclists, Zoe Castle and Kate Meadows, and their quest to compete for the greatest prize of all at London 2012.

Fans of Chris Cleave’s previous bestseller The Other Hand will not be surprised to learn that it’s an incredibly emotive read and, like Cleave’s past work, one powered by strong relationships and absorbing central characters.
