I’m Ben, I live in the heart of Wiltshire with my family (which includes one very spirited little sausage dog), and I’ve spent the last 10+ years working in the rewarding world of PR, content marketing and social media.

Ben Veal

I’ve worked with and for businesses of all shapes and sizes over the last few years. The PR industry has changed massively during this relatively short time, but one thing that hasn’t: my love of the written word.

I adore writing, and reading the works of others. Since a very young age, I’ve always been passionate about telling interesting stories – and this is a skill I’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to refine over the years. I think I’m getting there now.

I’m an Account Director at Highlight PR. Highlight is a results-focused PR, content and social media agency in the centre of the beautiful heritage city of Bath. We work with kids, parenting and lifestyle brands, ethical and organic food and drink companies, and pioneering businesses. It’s a varied role, and one that keeps me very, very busy.

I was also one of the co-founders of Guru Magazine, a digital-only science lifestyle publication backed by the Wellcome Trust that featured contributions from talented writers spanning the globe.

Between 2012 – 2014 I also ran CollarAndElbow.com, a news website dedicated to the misunderstood world of professional wrestling. I’m a big fan of the ‘sport’ and it’s best that you know that about me from the start. The international success of the site led to me becoming a regular TV and sports writer for the Mirror.co.uk.

Oh yes, and before you ask, I’m well aware that the outcomes of wrestling matches are predetermined. That doesn’t make them any less entertaining to watch.
